Thing’s You’ll Learn Along Today’s Journey

People have varying degrees of satisfaction when it comes to their retirement. Often, people think they can’t achieve a good retirement, but they’re usually just lacking a plan.

If you look at how the most successful people in retirement have positioned themselves, they work with an advisor who built a clearly defined plan. They’ve determined who they are as investors.

If you need $80,000 for retirement and you know you’ll only get $40,000 from Social Security, then you know how much you need to come up with for investments. Having a roadmap and having clarity with your plan alleviates a lot of the pressures.

Diversification of assets is also key, but first you have to know what kind of investor you are. A protective person wants all their money protected. A market person wants their money in the market and doesn’t mind the risk. The combo person wants a combination of both.

Many people want confidence to know they’re going to be ok. Sometimes, we have to tell people they can spend some of their money. We tell people pretty consistently that they need to spend some money now so they don’t get hit with huge taxes later.
